Public Safety Reports 11/7-11/13

Vehicle Accident, Hit and Run
Public Safety took a report of a minor hit and run, property damage accident that occurred in the Cedar Hall parking lot. 

Alarm, Fire
Public Safety responded to a fire alarm in Tamarack Hall. The cause of the alarm was burnt food.

Assist, Person
Public Safety took a report of a possible smoke smell in Deputy Hall. The area was checked and no smoke was found.

Maintenance
Maintenance was notified of a faulty door in Cedar Hall.

Biohazard
A biohazard worker was called to clean blood from an Oak Hall bathroom.

Drugs, Arrest
Public Safety responded to Pine Hall for a report of possible marijuana use. The area was checked and the source of the complaint was found. Bemidji Police issued one individual a citation for possession of marijuana. University conduct charges were also forwarded.

Assault, Sexual
Public Safety and Bemidji Police took a report of a female that was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance in early October. Bemidji Police located the suspect and questioned him. University conduct charges were also forwarded on the male party.

A wallet was reported lost.

A pair of mittens was found and turned into the Public Safety office.

A BSU ID card and key card were reported lost.

Drugs, Suspicion
Public Safety responded to a report of someone possibly smoking marijuana in an Oak Hall bathroom. The area was checked and no marijuana use was found.

Vehicle Accident, Injury
Public Safety took a report of an individual that was struck by a vehicle while walking across the road. The victim reported no injuries.

Larceny, Motor Vehicle
A vehicle was reported stolen from the Upper PE parking lot. In the stolen vehicle was a set of golf clubs and clothing.

Vehicle Accident, Hit and Run
An individual reported that their vehicle was struck while parked on Birchmont Dr. The individual was encouraged to report the accident to Bemidji Police.

Property, Lost
A parking permit was reported lost.

Maintenance
Maintenance was notified of a faulty door in Oak Hall.

Larceny, Theft
A credit card was reported stolen from the Rec. Center.

Maintenance
Public Safety responded to Oak Hall for a report of a toilet that was clogged. Maintenance was notified.

Alcohol, Minor, Arrest
Bemidji Police issued one individual a citation for minor consumption, and another individual was cited for possession of marijuana in Oak Hall. University conduct charges were also filed against them, along with one other individual for alcohol and marijuana.

Maintenance was notified of a faulty door in the PE complex.

Property, Lost
A car key was reported lost.

University conduct charges were filed on one individual after they were found to be in possession of alcohol in the Maple Hall parking lot.

University conduct charges were filed on one individual after they were found to be in possession of alcohol in the Maple Hall parking lot.

A biohazard worker was called to clean up vomit from a Walnut Hall bathroom.

Drugs, Suspicion
Public Safety responded to a report of possible marijuana possession in Pine Hall. The area was checked and no one was found in possession of marijuana.

Assist, Person
Public Safety contacted an individual whose vehicle was found with an open door in the Cedar parking lot.

Alarm, Fire, Tampering
Public Safety, Bemidji Police and Bemidji’s Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Oak Hall. The alarm was caused by a pull station being activated. The area was checked and no signs of fire were found.

Biohazard
Public Safety responded to Oak Hall for a report of a biohazard; a condom was found on a bathroom floor. The condom was disposed of.

Domestic, Physical
University conduct charges were filed on one individual after they reportedly punched another individual and hindered the individual’s ability to leave the room.
