Property, Lost
Public Safety took a report of a lost wallet. The individual later informed Public Safety that the wallet was recovered.

Maintenance
Public Safety responded to Tamarack Hall regarding complaints that the heat was not working. Maintenance was contacted the following day to look at the issue.
Maintenance
Public Safety observed that an elevator in Tamarack Hall was not operational. Maintenance was notified to fix the issue.

Property, Found
A timecard was turned into the Public Safety office. The individual was unable to be located, and the property will be placed in the lost and found.
Disturbance
Public Safety responded to Pine Hall regarding a complaint of loud noises. Officers spoke with all parties involved, however no noises could be heard upon arrival.
Assist, Agency
Public Safety assisted Beltrami County Law Enforcement with a 911 hang-up in Linden Hall. The caller was located and it was determined there was no emergency and they had dialed the number by accident.
Drugs, Arrest

Public Safety received a complaint of drug use in the Rec Center parking lot where an officer responded and discovered use of marijuana. The Bemidji Police Department was contacted and one individual was cited for a small amount of marijuana. The other party involved was arrested for a violation of a court order. University conduct charges were filed on both individuals.
Accident, Hit and Run
Public Safety took a report of a hit-and-run vehicle accident that occurred in the Maple Hall parking lot. The Bemidji Police Department was contacted and a report was filed with them.

Alarm, Fire, False
Public Safety and the Bemidji Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Deputy Hall, in which no sign of fire was present. Maintenance was contacted regarding a faulty alarm and will look into the issue in the morning.

Biohazard

Public Safety received a complaint of a biohazard in Oak Hall. The biohazard was confirmed and maintenance was contacted.

A vehicle key was turned into the Public Safety Office. It will be located in the lost and found.

Property, Found
An iPod and speaker were turned into the Public Safety office. The owner came in and retrieved the property.

Alcohol, Adult
Public Safety responded to Tamarack Hall for an alcohol complaint. Individuals involved were of legal drinking age. University conduct charges were filed on one individual.
Larceny, Theft
Public Safety and the Bemidji Police Department took a report of stolen property that occurred in Tamarack Hall.
Assist, Person
Public Safety provided medical attention to an individual who had been involved in an argument and had fallen down. Officers spoke with both parties involved and determined no physical force had been used.
Maintenance
Public Safety took report of lights not working in the Library. Maintenance was contacted to fix the issue.

Larceny, Theft
Public Safety took a report of a stolen computer monitor from the Lower Union. The Bemidji Police Department was notified and a report was filed.
Property, Found
A check was turned into the Public Safety Office, where the individual that the check was made payable to came in and claimed the property.
Disturbance
Public Safety responded to Oak Hall for an alcohol complaint. No evidence of alcohol consumption was present and the individuals were warned to keep the noise level down.

Public Safety responded to a biohazard complaint in Tamarack Hall. The biohazard was confirmed and maintenance was contacted to clean it up.
Property, Found
A student ID was turned into the Public Safety office, where it will be placed in the lost and found. A message was left with the owner’s roommate to have the owner retrieve the property.
Alarm, Fire
Public Safety responded to Walnut Hall for a fire alarm caused by the deep fryers. No fire was present and the Bemidji Fire Department call was canceled.

Welfare Check
Public Safety responded to Oak Hall for a welfare check on a roommate. The individual was located out of town and everything was OK.
Assist, Agency
Public Safety assisted Bemidji Ambulance, Beltrami County Sheriff, Bemidji Police, and the Bemidji Fire Department with a vehicle that had fallen through the ice near Diamond Point Park. Individuals involved were transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
Property, Lost
Public Safety took a report of lost keys.

Larceny, Theft
Public Safety took a report of stolen property that occurred on Birchmont Drive. The Bemidji Police Department had already been contacted.

Public Safety responded to a biohazard in Pine Hall. Maintenance was contacted and the biohazard was cleaned up.

Warrant, Search
Public Safety assisted Bemidji Police and several other law enforcement agencies conduct a search warrant in Cedar Hall.
Drugs, Suspicion
Public Safety responded to Oak Hall for a report of possible marijuana use. The report was unfounded.

Maintenance was notified of a faulty door in Oak Hall.

Suicide, Threats
Public Safety along with the Bemidji Police Department took a report of an individual in Pine Hall with suicidal ideations. The individual was located, and spoke with Bemidji police.
Alcohol, Minor, Arrest
Public Safety and the Bemidji Police Department responded to Tamarack Hall for a report of intoxicated individuals. One individual was cited for minor consumption; the other was arrested for minor consumption. University Conduct Charges were filed on both.
Larceny, Theft
A computer was stolen from a trailer near Birch Hall. Bemidji police took a report.

Emergency Phone
Public Safety responded to a call from an emergency phone in Cedar Hall. The call was placed accidentally.

Assist, Person
Public Safety assisted an individual whose car was stuck in the limited reserve parking lot.

Property, Lost
A set of keys was reported lost.

Alarm, Fire
Public Safety responded to fire alarm in Tamarack Hall. The alarm was caused by burnt food.

Biohazard
A biohazard worker was called to clean vomit from an Oak Hall bathroom.

Public Safety took a report of a stolen computer in Decker Hall. It was later determined that the computer was being serviced at computer support.
