On Saturday, December 19th Home Free will be hitting Bemidji for the holidays. The event will take place at the Sanford Center with the doors opening at 7 PM, and the group taking the stage at 8 PM.
Home Free is an American a cappella group featuring five artists who originally formed together in Mankato, Minnesota in 2000. The group went on to compete in and win the fourth season of The Sing-Off on NBC in 2013. With their win came a large prize and a recording contract with Sony. The group consists of Austin Brown, Tim Foust, Rob Lundquist, Adam Rupp and Chris Rupp.
Since their win, Home Free has released eight albums, with their most recent album having been released this past September. Since their rise in fame, they have since gained more than 40 million YouTube views and have sold more than 100,000 tickets on three national tours.
Before their success on The Sing-Off, Home Free toured at fairs and festivals across the United States, as well as performing on some cruise ships. All five of the members in the group have had formal musical training and three of the group’s members have bachelor’s degrees in music.
Tickets to the show are still available and can be purchased at the Ticket Office at the Sanford Center and through Ticketmaster.
